The snow curtailed much of last week's activity. It's amazing how much a change in weather can affect your routine. Coming so soon after Christmas, it's meant that things haven't really returned to normal yet. We had to cancel my band's gig at the Duck and Drake in Leeds due to snow, and then the following night (Friday) I was meant to see Paul Carrack at the Brighouse Ritz, but this too was frozen out.
On Saturday night I opted for the safer option of staying indoors playing Wi sports with some friends. I don't personally own one of these things but it's great fun, I'm still aching a bit, it shows how little exercise I get. Who knows, it could be 'Guitar Hero' next. Then again, Hell may freeze over...
The great thaw has now begun, so there's a chance of completing some gigs this week: Thursday solo at Verve and Friday (band) at Hoagys's. Both in Leeds.
YOU TUBE VIDEOS!
I've recently launched my own youtube channel, which features all the videos involving my music that I've been able to pool together so far. There's several of my band performing at Wills O'Nats last August, plus previously blogged films of 'I Don't Need' and 'Money From The Satisfied Man'.
So, if you've never seen my band, and are of a strong constitution, please have a look at the link below. Please also feel free to leave a comment or two.
